Community Language Academy
We are excited to offer language classes in ESL (English as a Second Language), ASL (American Sign Language), and Spanish. These classes are open to all ages and skill levels, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for everyone. Each language course will be supported by multiple instructors, allowing for individualized attention, small-group assistance, and a more engaging learning experience. Whether you are learning a new language for the first time or looking to strengthen existing skills, our program is designed to help every participant succeed. -
Jazz Band
District Jazz Band is an advanced ensemble that needs to learn music FAST. Therefore all members are accepted only by teacher recommendation or prior membership in the group. 7th and 8th Grade preferred, but will accept STRONG advanced 6th Grade (Lessons Preferred). Students will be able to enroll and pay for each semester separately for easier payment options. Second payment automatically deducted from credit card/debit on Jan 12, 2026. Enrollment in 1st semester obligates enrollment and payment for second semester. -
M&B Chess Classes
Afterschool Chess Clubs: Students will have a weekly chess lesson geared toward their skill level in a classroom setting, just like a school class with students raising hands. After the lesson, students will play chess with each other using an organized system based on skill level. Mini Knights 3-6 year old class: Students will learn the basics of chess and the rules in a classroom setting with a coach who excels at teaching younger children. After the lesson, students will play chess with each other using an organized system based on skill level. Adult and K-12 Advanced Class: USCF National Master Jason Garfield will be scheduled to teach this class and will start each class with a 30 minutes lesson focusing on tactics, endgames, and strategies that the students need to learn. Then the next hour will be a rated USCF Game in 30 Tournament with a Trophy for the winner at the end of the session. Then the final 30 minutes will be a game review so students get immediate feedback on how they did in the tournament. Active USCF Membership Required. Valley Vista Iron Chef: Summer 2026 Baking Course Camp
Join us for a hands-on baking experience inside the VVHS Culinary Kitchen! Campers will learn directly from professional chefs through step-by-step demonstrations before creating each recipe themselves at their kitchen stations. Participants will practice proper measuring techniques, kitchen safety, baking methods, and presentation skills while making a variety of sweet and savory baked goods. Each camper will: - Watch a live chef demonstration - Prepare recipes hands-on - Write down and organize recipes - Take home their creations and a collection of recipes This camp is designed to build confidence, creativity, and real kitchen skills in a fun, professional culinary environment. Young Rembrandts Spring Classes
Its springtime and that can mean only one thing: SPRINGTIME DRAWING WITH YOUNG REMBRANDTS! If your children are baseball fans, they will love our baseball still life lesson. We’ll also learn about and draw the legendary Mars Rover. Then we will imagine ourselves traveling to far away worlds as we illustrate amazing alien beings. All this and more await our students.
